A global leader in immersive conversational AI technology is in search of a commercially minded Senior Data Engineer to design and implement data warehouse and data lake solutions

This is an exciting opportunity to build a scalable data infrastructure from the ground up for a rapidly growing start-up specialising in cutting edge AI technology. Working in a high energy, fast paced collaborative environment, you'll deliver Data Engineering expertise to C-Level and other business functions.

You will be a highly motivated self-starter and exceptional communicator, experienced working with marketing and advertising data for notable start-ups as well as established larger organisations.

Responsibilities:
·Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain robust data warehouse and data lake architectures (e.g. Google BigQuery on Google Cloud Platform). Explore and integrate solutions from other vendors such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
·ETL Development: Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
·Data Integration: Centralize data from multiple sources, including media platforms, CRM systems, and transactional databases. Ensure seamless integration and accessibility for analysis.
·Compliance and Governance: Ensure all data management processes comply with LGPD/GDPR and other relevant regulations. Implement and maintain data quality and governance standards.
·Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to handle exponential data growth and support agile decision-making.
·Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to facilitate data-driven strategies.
·Documentation and Accessibility: Keep detailed documentation of data flows and processes. Ensure data is accessible to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements:
·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
·Experience of working for a start-up or larger organisation
·5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on marketing and advertising data
·Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools.
·Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
·Knowledge of BigQuery or similar data warehouse solutions.
·Familiarity with data lake concepts and implementations.
·Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes.
·Hands-on experience with data integration from various sources, including APIs, spreadsheets, and transactional databases.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality, consistency, and performance optimization.
·Excellent communication and ability to work effectively at C-Level and with cross-functional teams.
