Salary Negotiable to £50,000 DoE
Hybrid working with 2 days in Milton Keynes

Work with an award-winning independent protection adviser. Develop reporting capabilities to ensure that all areas of the business can make timely, evidence-based decisions. The reporting capabilities will need to be of a high standard and cater for a variety of business users and senior management. The main reporting tool will be Power BI and the reporting must provide real time capabilities for key metrics.

Key Accountabilities
1.Work with internal and external end users to develop, deploy, and manage high standard interactive reports, dashboards, and visualisations in Power BI.

2.Become an SME on data and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes to ensure that stakeholders can fully leverage our data services.

3.Where necessary use SQL and/or Python to explore the data and make recommendations to the engineering team on how to shape and model the data.

4.Work with IT, external suppliers, and other members of the team to ensure that the lineage and quality of data flowing through our business is clearly understood.

5.Help to develop our overall data quality and maturity, through number of initiatives including managing daily quality checks and provision of information for operation meetings as required.

6.Help to shape the bushiness's overall strategic data and analytical capabilities, as a senior member of data team you will need to help us adopt best practices and continuously improve analytical standards across the team.

7.Help to manage key internal and external relationships, including Business end users, IT, Risk & Compliance, and data services providers. To achieve this the role holder will need to demonstrate proven stakeholder management experience.

8.Represent the voice of data at operational, compliance and technology meetings, ensuring that discussion and decision making at a senior level is supported with robust and valid data, and that data quality is continuously improved. You will need to help us adopt a data-driven, engineering culture across the organisation

Experience & skills required
You will become an SME on the data and central reporting platform. You need to be both a good communicator and have very strong technical skills.
You will need to build strong working relationships across the data team, with internal stakeholder and external suppliers.
You will also mentor other members of the team to help them all to perform at maximum capability.
You need to have a strong understanding of the challenges of business reporting and analysis, as well as technical knowledge of relational databases and data modelling. Power Bi skills are essential, but additional technical skills such as SQL, Python, Statistics or Machine Learning would be very useful.
