We're working with a major UK organisation delivering secure, enterprise-scale data platforms across defence and national security programmes.

This is hands-on engineering in live operational environments, building systems where scalability, resilience and reliability are critical.

### The role

Designing and building modern data platforms and production-grade pipelines across secure cloud environments.

You'll work closely with engineering and architecture teams to support complex, high-volume data systems that underpin real operational outcomes.

### What you'll be doing

• Building scalable pipelines across ingestion, processing and serving layers
• Working with Python, SQL, APIs and distributed data tooling
• Supporting structured and unstructured data workloads at scale
• Integrating multiple data sources into modern cloud platforms
• Collaborating across engineering and delivery teams on mission-critical programmes

### Environment

Python, SQL, Spark, Java or Scala
AWS, Azure or GCP
Modern distributed and cloud-native architectures

### Requirements

• Active DV clearance, essential
• Experience building and maintaining production-scale data pipelines
• Strong engineering and platform mindset
• Exposure to big data tooling and cloud ecosystems
• Comfortable operating in delivery-focused, secure environments
