Hybrid working – 2 days per week in Westminster offices

Use your expertise in data, technology and AI to help shape how a leading political media, events and training group connects with its audiences.

A career with purpose

At Total Politics Group, we believe in the power of informed debate, professional development and recognising achievement. Across our UK and European media, events and training businesses, we bring people together around the issues that matter.

Supporting and celebrating women is an important part of that work. Our programmes include Women into Leadership, Women in Westminster, Civil Service World’s Trailblazing Women initiative and the Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Awards. These activities recognise women’s achievements, support career development and bring important conversations into the spotlight.

We are looking for a Data & Tech Manager who wants to combine strong technical skills with the opportunity to contribute to an organisation delivering this breadth of work.

The opportunity

Working closely with our Marketing team and colleagues across the business, you will lead the practical delivery of our marketing data and technology strategy. You will improve data quality, develop reporting and insight, strengthen our systems and help us use AI and automation in smarter, more effective ways.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys solving problems, connecting systems and turning complex data into useful business insight.

What you will do

  • Deliver data quality and governance activity, including cleansing, deduplication, validation, mapping and audits.
  • Maintain and optimise marketing databases, data collection processes, integrations and migrations.
  • Develop dashboards, automated reporting and audience insights to support better decisions.
  • Work with Marketing Automation colleagues on behavioural data, customer understanding and lead scoring.
  • Identify and implement practical opportunities for AI, prompt engineering and workflow automation.
  • Provide technical support for marketing platforms and help maintain and improve our WordPress websites.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer with data protection processes, compliance and documentation.

What you will bring

  • Experience delivering data management and quality improvement projects, with strong database, analytics and reporting skills.
  • A practical understanding of AI tools and automation, and the curiosity to explore new applications.
  • Experience working with CRM, marketing data, digital platforms or customer insight.
  • Confidence managing multiple projects and communicating technical ideas to non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience with web analytics and data visualisation tools. Power BI, SQL, Python or R, ETL processes and data governance expertise would be advantageous.

What we offer

25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance at four times salary, Cycle to Work scheme, season ticket loan and Employee Assistance Programme.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. Total Politics Group is committed to an inclusive workplace and will support reasonable adjustments during recruitment.
