Salary negotiable c£30,000 + bonus + benefits
Our client, Mercury Holidays, is a travel company based in Kent providing award-winning holidays for 40 years. They are currently undergoing an internal transformation focusing on customer centricity and data-driven marketing to create a leading digital platform.
They are looking for two additional new members to the team who are passionate about turning data and information into valuable insights. Exceptional opportunity to grow, develop new skills and to take ownership of the delivery of solutions. No two days will be the same and these roles will be ideal for ambitious, driven, self-starters.
Whilst the Head Office is in Kent they are open to Remote Working for the right individual.
What you'll be doing
- Implementing and maintaining data pipelines into our data lake
- Applying ETL and ELT techniques to raw data
- Assisting the Senior Data Analyst in producing dashboards and running reports
- Filtering, cleansing and auditing of data to ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulations
- Taking ownership of the reporting layer over time
- Working with key stakeholders to extract value and insight from varied data sources
Job Requirements
What we’re looking for
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Proven working experience as a data engineer, data analyst or business analyst
- Good knowledge of reporting packages (BI Tools), databases (SQL), and Python, including PySpark
- Strong analytical skills to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the ability to produce engaging presentations and reports
Additional skills that could be beneficial
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (Athena, S3, Glue) / cloud architectures would be beneficial
