J11536 IFRS9 Performance Analyst London Excellent Salary
Join the team within this financial services organisation and take ownership of their quantitative model suite, for the most part the IFRS9 impairment models. As well as taking full ownership of the existing models, you will manage the internal governance and external auditing. You will also be the Finance lead on an exciting development project to develop and enhance the IFRS9 impairment model.
Role & Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will be:
•Using macroeconomic forecasts, expected loss given default calculations and internal default/arrears data to oversee the regular IFRS9 parameter updates
•Updating key schedules and preparing variance analysis
•Communicate to stakeholders the findings of your commercial assessment of results and future model performance
•Overseeing the Impairment Committee
•Keeping models up to date with new accounting or regulatory requirements
•Supporting the FD and CFO with various ad-hoc analysis
Experience & Skills Required
•Impairment model running and IFRS9 experience
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•VBA or database system skills are desirable (Python, SAS etc.)
•Experience working in small banking environments would be beneficial
•Self-starter who has the ability to prioritise and manage workload
•Good communication skills
•Degree level education
•Desirably a qualified accountant/CFA Degree or financial accounting
