Great new opportunity to work within the Data, Technology and Analytics division of this highly respected Media Group

Objective of role:
This is an ideal role for an experienced analyst in the media and/or analytics area looking to develop their career both in terms of industry experience and marketing analysis applications. The role will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, focused on addressing business issues in the media world and looking to contribute to the development of business; while ensuring and improving the quality and efficiency of their offer by executing and supporting others to deliver accurate analysis on time and on brief.

Role:
• Be an inspiring role model
• Begin to provide day to day coaching and development of junior analysts working on your projects
• Commercially astute - begin to understand the commercial side of selling in and delivery of projects
• Develop strong relationships across agency contacts and with day to day client contacts, acting as an ambassador for Marketing Science
• Strong communication skills - able to support senior team members in telling stories with data within presentations
• Support senior team members in new business pitches, producing analysis and documents as required
• Support senior team members in being able to translate all data and analytical outcomes to a real-world application generating commercial benefit to clients
• Be open minded and curious by applying creative thinking to analytical problems
• Apply a contemporary approach to analytics with an emphasis on digital attribution, market mix modelling, location and segmentation analysis using a wide range of data mining, statistical and machine learning techniques for creative problem solving
• Knowledge of web scraping and APIs and how they can be leveraged for analytics to benefit clients
• Support the delivery of data handling, modelling and analytical projects and begin to own parts of the project process such as data collection/processing
• Ensure all output is technically excellent, that all output is fit for purpose, consistent and accurate
• Continually strive for excellence in everything we do and encourage our team to be the best they can, all the time
• Be collaborative - working with other Specialist Services, agency teams and the wider team to help feed into the development of new approaches and techniques
• Be part of the Marketing Science community, sharing and collaborating with other analysts

Profile:
• Highly organised, self-motivated and pro-active individual
• Good understanding of classical and Bayesian statistics, machine learning and simulation techniques
• A basic understanding of ad tech and programmatic an advantage
• Experience of R/SQL/Python
• Knowledge of Google's Ads Data Hub
• Comfortable with big data - ideally AWS (Redshift, S3, EMR, Hive, Hue)
• Data visualisation skills - ideally D3, R Shiny, Tableau, to represent complex data relationships and deliver compelling analytical output
• Understanding of UK Data Privacy laws an advantage
• Experience working in data analysis in a commercial environment, ideally within a marketing, media and/or communications context
• Client focused and comfortable in an agency environment
• High degree of emotional intelligence, able to manage self and influence others in a constructive manner
• Contributes to a culture of high collaboration
