Our highly respected client provides the science behind animal healthcare and nutrition to this end they increasingly use big data strategies ('powered-by-data' science) to deliver on its objectives. The purpose of the Data Analytics Programme Manager position is to first shape the emerging activity of 'powered-by-data' science and then manage it on a daily basis.
First and foremost, the Data Analytics Programme Manager is expected to build and manage a portfolio of value-adding projects, working in partnership with a diversity of stakeholders across the business. This will require a good understanding of life sciences research, excellent stakeholder management skills as well as change management experience to grow an ecosystem way of thinking. In parallel, the Data Analytics Programme Manager Is expected to shape the ways-of-working and organisation for governing the powered-by-data science portfolio. This will require Influencing and programme management skills to positively interact with a range of stakeholders, including both data science experts and novices.
In practice, the Data Analytics Programme Manager will interact closely with the Senior Research Manager Data Analytics, providing support in the management and development of the team strategically as well as on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will have:
PhD (or Master degree with equivalent experience) in Information Technology or a related field with a strong data focus (mathematics, statistics, data science, bioinformatics, computational biology, data engineering, etc.)
At least 5-year experience in academia or industry with demonstrated programme management experience in a life sciences setting. Exposure to digital transformation is a plus.
